Assembly Member Alicia L. Hyndman hosted a Summer Camp Resource Fair on April 25th at the Roy Wilkins Recreation Center.
Attendees received presentations from multiple summer programs in the South East Queens area.
Some camp program organizations in attendance were: PAL, INDIA Homes, ZMI, Gordon Camps, NYJTL, Black Spectrum Theatre, DYCD, Idlewild Environmental Center, and Joe’s Music School.
Jermaine Sean Smith, the executive director of Southern Queens Parks Association, shared insight on the event. “Today it’s about community coming together,” Sean Smith stated. “We want to give resources out to ensure that the kids this year have a wonderful summer.”
