King Manor hosted the Queens Fiber Arts Festival in its backyard on October 25th. The event was free and open to the public.
The goal was for all artists and attendees to indulge in different forms of knitting. First up was a knitting demonstration and a Q and A with the Big Apple Knitters Guild. What followed was an introduction to crochet with the NYC Crochet Guild. The afternoon closed with a raffle drawing.
Kelsey Brow, the Executive Director at King Manor, shared her excitement about the event. “Well everyone can learn a lot about knitting,” Brow stated. “It’s great to see everyone in the community able to express themselves with whatever medium they chose.”
