A Better Jamaica and the Jamaica Arts Council hosted the Valentine’s Day edition of JAC’s Holiday Music at Jamaica Center / Parsons-Archer subway station on February 14th.
As is always the case, the event was presented at the bottom of the station’s “grand” staircase, on the token booth level of the station.
Romance was in the air as Randall Holloway, Naomi Latta, Jasmine Manley, Miya Bass, Petula Beckles, and Elle took to the subway station stage.
Greg Mays, the founder of A Better Jamaica, gave his insights on why he enjoys having this event every year. “Since 2019, we’ve presented singers on Valentine’s Day at the Jamaica Center / Parsons-Archer subway station,” Mays stated. “From the beginning, passersby have been appreciative — as evidenced by the number of tips given — of the Valentine’s Day love that we’ve spread.”
