ASPCA Hosts Mobile Veterinary Services Unit

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals recently deployed a Mobile Veterinary Services Unit to Roy Wilkins Park. Some of the mobile unit’s services were free, while others were available for a fee.

Owners lined up outside of the mobile unit with their dogs to have them spayed/neutered. The mobile unit also offered surgeries and vaccines – with some vaccine packages adding up to over $200. The intention, however, was to meet the community’s needs by providing low-cost or free-of-charge immunizations.

The organization also provided microchips that allow owners to be able to track their furry friends if they were to get lost. Flea prevention shots and treatments were also available.
