Council Member Nantasha Williams hosted her second Discretionary Funding Application Workshop on February 5th. The event was held online and was open to everyone.
According to the presentation given by the District 27 Budget Fellow, Discretionary Funding is “the money that is allocated in the City’s expense budget to eligible not-for-profit organizations by the Council or a Council Member.” The funds are provided to assist non-profit organizations with programming and service delivery.
The goal of the event was to inform non-profit organizations about the process and the steps required to receive discretionary funding from the New York City Council.
