The Eastern Queens Alliance hosted Eco Bingo & Game Night on May 31st at the Idlewild Environmental Center. Gamers – young and old – thoroughly enjoyed an evening of educational games for which prizes could be won.
The overarching goal of the environmental center is to develop environmental awareness among children and adults in the Southeast Queens Community with a view towards encouraging environmental stewardship and advocacy.
Community Sustainability Outreach Assistant Kerianne Edwards described the goals of creating the game night event. “We find it a good way to get all the ages together. We like to have that intergenerational mix.” Edwards stated. For more information on future events, log onto https://easternqueensalliance.org/about-eqa/
