Downtown Jamaica’s Historic Grace Church hosted a yard sale on October 5th. The event was free and open to the public to attend.
The sale featured used clothing, shoes, appliances, and household items to raise money for the church – which was established nearly 300 years ago.
Claudette Goldson, one of the church’s ambassadors, shared some insight on why the yard sale is so important. “This yard sale started 4 years ago,” Goldson stated. “We raise funds for church and charity. This is the way to give back to the church and to give back to the community. We try to help in every way possible.”
