The New York City Department of Housing Prevention and Development (HPD) hosted HPD Outreach on July 22nd at New York State Assembly Member Alicia Hyndman’s office. The event was free and open to the public.
The primary goal of the event was to discuss the rights of both tenants and landlords. Secondarily, assistance was provided with applying for affordable housing, filing a proper and legal housing complaint, financing improvements and repairs, registering buildings, and remedying violations.
Participants left with folders chock-full of additional information, including places to apply for housing and other useful resources.
