IS 59Q hosted its Annual Community Health, Education, and Employment Resources Fair on May 17th. The event, held in the school yard, was free and open to the public.
All types of organizations, including the Fire Department of New York, were on-site to share valuable information with the community. Free refreshments and food were available as well!

Sheryl Leverett, IS 59’s Parent Coordinator, shared why she is happy to host the event each year. “We are having this so the people can get [the] information they need,” Leverett stated. “We have everything here, from health agencies to city jobs, to explain things that we wouldn’t typically get. It’s important because I work with parents and I want to make sure they have everything they need to allow their children to be safe and good.”
