King Manor Hosts Freezin’ Season – Black Inventors

The King Manor Museum hosted their Freezin’ Season Propellers event on February 18th. The event was free and open to the public.

Freezin’ Season is a series of free events hosted between February 18th and February 21st during the New York City Department of Education’s Winter Recess. Fun family activities are scheduled throughout the school break.

On this particular day, children learned about Black History Month, with a focus on Black inventors. After learning about different inventors, children were inspired to make their own inventions using supplies provided by program staff.
