King Manor Hosts Musique Macabre

King Manor hosted Musique Macabre: A Creepy Concert on October 25th at the King Manor museum site. The event was free and open to the public for all ages.

Leah Nelson played live music on the violin and Dongsok Shin on the square piano. Shin played a period instrument that is stored at King Manor. All of the songs were related to Halloween. The show began in a pitch-black room, before the chilling sounds of the violin illuminated a “creepy” atmosphere.

Pianist Dongsok Shin explained why he loves music so much! “I think music is a universal language,” Shin stated. “It can speak to anyone and I found that doing these concerts you get to show and experience that with people. So I’m glad to be here.”
