The King Manor Museum hosted its Touch Object Tuesday at the Queens Public Library on July 22nd. The event was free and open to the public.
Touch Object Tuesday is a monthly event held at the Queens Central Public Library from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. The event gives a greater number of participants the opportunity to get a hands-on feel of the artifacts than would be accommodated at the manor house.
Bloomberg Art Interns were in attendance to assist the museum in presenting the artifacts to children and adults.
Veronica Alt, Education and Program Manager at King Manor Museum, provided shared insight into what was happening. “Our three interns have developed programming that involves our bringing some of our museum objects to the library,” Alt stated. “We just want to teach about what life was like in the King Manor era.”
