Queens Library Exhibits Artificial Realism: Hip Hop Art

The Queens Public Library is exhibiting Artificial Realism: Hip Hop Art from August 1st through August 29th at the Central Branch. The Exhibit is free and open to the public to view.

All of the pieces in Artificial Realism: Hip Hop Art are by Denzel K. France, a 33-year old Brooklyn painter. France’s work includes classic children’s cartoons such as Ed, Edd n Eddy with a modern hip-hop twist. He describes his style of art as a “Fus[sion] of street culture with personal storytelling, creating a powerful connection with urban and skate communities.”

France is also well known in the music business, as he has created the official merchandise for Lil Kim’s Return of the Queen Bee tour.
