The Queens Public Library is hosting a Monday Matinee movie series every Monday from June 2nd to June 30th. The series – free and open to the public – is for adults only.
Films remaining in the lineup include The Sandlot on June 16th, A League of Their Own on June 23rd, and Moneyball on June 30th. All of the shows begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be shown in the Central Library’s auditorium.
The series began on June 9th with the 1989 film Field of Dreams. Attendees gathered to watch the story of a farmer who builds a baseball field in his backyard, guided by the voices of legendary baseball players.
