The Rosedale Civic Association hosted a “City of Yes” Town Hall meeting at the St. Clare Catholic Academy gymnasium on November 16th. The event was free and open to the public.
The community-based meeting focused on the overall state of the “Yes” initiative – which looks to expand affordable housing within our community. Some of the topics included issues with flooding, access to public transportation, parking availability, and more.
Alfred Osburne, the first Vice President of the Rosedale Civic Association, explained why this event is so important. “If we come together we can push our agenda forward,” Osburne stated. “Right now we have a lot of problems that we are trying to solve. We want to fix our flooding issue, our overcrowded schools, and our overcrowded community. This is the reason why adequate housing is necessary.”
