The Jamaica Center of Arts and Learning hosted its third Thursday Night Jazz Festival performance of the 2023-2024 season. Sabeth Pérez took the stage on November 9th.
The Thursday Night Jazz Festival is a free featured Jazz performance open to the public every second Thursday of every month. According to Curator Rio Sakairi, JCAL is offering “Cutting-edge contemporary Jazz from October until May.”
Sabeth Pérez is a German-Argentinian jazz vocalist living in NYC. She leads her own quartet and sings in multiple languages. Her voice is characterized by silky precision and crystal-clear clarity, which she employs in folkloric interpretations of Argentine roots.
