The Jamaica Center For Arts and Learning hosted Riddim Sections Presents: Chardavoine on March 27th. This community-based event, which took place at the JCAL building, was free to the public. Riddim Section features three monthly concerts from local musicians, fostering a sense of connection and community from February to June. Attendees were greeted at the door with refreshments as they sat in the theater.
Chardavoine, a master of the guitar from Haiti, is a unique artist who has had a successful career, including numerous awards and performances with renowned artists such as Aretha Franklin. His music is a fusion of jazz and Haitian roots music, offering a rare and privileged experience for the audience.
